Yeah agree, not a good look having a completely unoccupied section up the top behind the backboard. Reminds me of the Townsville Crocs' dying years when they had huge sheets of builders film over the top seats

The Hawk's supporters should be supporting their club more.

They have done what they can to bring in talent and excitement and the numbers have only jumped a little from last year. I know its a Monday.

Anyone know what the crowd was? Looked pretty average on TV. Even though it was a monday i would have thought most Hawks games would be sellouts this year.

To many whingers on this site, yes some, actually a lot of the commentary is rubbish but have you ever listened to the afl or rugby league coverage, it’s just as bad or worse. Turn the commentary down or watch on twitch

How does Dwayne Russell still not understand how this sport works? Several people on Twitter are chiming in to agree with him that Cairns should have called a timeout after Ogilvy's missed free-throw, including one Cairns journo who has accused me of making up the dead-ball TO rule because he apparently cannot find any record of it anywhere.

Machado and Oliver minus 10 and 8, not good enough for imports. Illawarra better balanced team selections, need more of 44 defensively.

Yeah, really enjoyable 2nd half after a bit of a dud 1st half.

Machado is really bust-or-boom it seems. Has some great plays here and there, but just too careless with the ball overall and a lot of dribbling into traffic.

Cairns on their home court need to give home fans a reason to seek refuge in the air conditioned comfort of the Cairns Convention Centre. Majok Deng was an X factor in Adelaide and has a chance to become a cult hero sharing the mantle with the "Beast".

Illawarra have a squad that is not too shabby with most players tasting success at other clubs and have a number of rings in the sock drawer. But, Illawarra's problem has always been they just can't seem to go home with the girl. They play the roll of wing man to perfection.
