Kings v Bullets Oct 26

^^^^ most games

Gliddon is a shadow off the player he was. Cadee is still the same, bland. TeRangi and Vukona didn’t play hardly, injuries?. Hodgson is not that clever and two imports are no better than locals. Take Paterson and Sobey out and they got nothing.

There have been at least 2 or 3 shocking unsportsmanlike calls already this year, take your pick.

I haven't seen a replay, but that 2nd unsportsmanlike on Bogut looked like one of the worst of the season, which is really saying something.

Bullets should combine Singler and Braun's contracts into one import 4 who can score from inside, and hope Gliddon can consistently knock down open looks for more than a handful of games each season.

I don't know what's wrong with this bullets side. On paper they should be at least half decent, but they're straight up trash. Going to be contending for bottom 2 alongside cairns and hawks.

Bullets are trash. Also so boring to be watch.

#sacklemonass

They'll probably end up in 4th and lose in the semis again.

Kings should roll them easy in the second half, Brisbane never got off the plane by the looks of it

Both teams looking alright after one quarter, Ware warming up real quick though so hopefully Sydney marches onto another win.

"Hey, Cosby! The problem isn't getting Patterson to have a monster game. He's doing that week-in, week-out. I want his team-mates to take some responsibility too, especially in the dying stages of close games."

I would say it's about all of them playing some D. They're scoring more than enough to win.

By-the-way, I do understand that there was initial confusion with Patterson's availability so Singlar and Braun were recruited with justifiable expectations, and as stated above, not bad choices, in themselves. Just hope that we can balance the team better either with the current roster or replacements???!

Hey, Cosby! The problem isn't getting Patterson to have a monster game. He's doing that week-in, week-out. I want his team-mates to take some responsibility too, especially in the dying stages of close games.

It seems that as Patterson is "our" only gun, we ALWAYS go to him down the stretch. And, with the attention he is getting from defence, there should be lots of good scoring options for others.

Been some talk of his import support and have to agree that they seem too one-dimensional and no additional benefit to what Patterson and the Aussies bring. Add to that that they (Singlar & Braun) actually diminish the benefit of having TeRangi.

Not meant as a direct criticism of Singlar & Braun, just the make up of the team. The criticism is for putting it on Patterson in the first place!

Great preview.

Kings should win this with out really having to get to top gear. This is the time you better get on the bullets though as one thing kings history tells us is when they are specials the play like crap.

Bullets have lost seven straight to Sydney, they need to make a stand today for their own sake, otherwise mentally they're going to suspect they're competing for 4th spot again but nothing more.

The following is from the BSA Hot Weather Policy, and applies to all age groups.

"On days when the forecast maximum temperature as published in the Advertiser/Sunday Mail that day is 38 degrees or higher, all district games will be cancelled or postponed, except those at air-conditioned stadiums (currently the Adelaide Arena and Starplex meet this criteria)".

It is my understanding that The Adelaide Arena is air-conditioned, but with an evaporative system, which creates moisture in the air and can make the court slippery (so I have been informed). I am also wondering when the system has actually been utilised for District games, because this would create an additional cost, which BSA would have to incur as part of the rental of the Arena. Would/are they willing to accept this additional cost? I can confirm that it is extremely hot on court in the Arena when the external temperature is high and the air conditioning is not utilised.
I find it hard to recall the number of occasions when the system has actually been used (other than a few NBL games - and possibly 1-2 WNBL games).

What would happen if the temperature exceeds the guidelines and a players suffers from the heat etc and BSA have failed to utilise the air conditioning?
