Reputations matter, even to refs. I think it does have an impact on decisions made by refs. To suggest that any player is favourited, though, is a big stretch.

As Martin slows down, he might get away with more with refs remembering him as quick with hands and quick to move into position to take a charge.

Home teams always get more 50/50 calls going their way. Perth are probably the biggest recipient because they have the biggest and noisiest crowds.
