Breakers v Taipans Oct 31

Was that the best Next Star performance to date? Very good shooting numbers and general play by Hampton - he provided the offensive spark that Hopson couldn't.

Breakers' depth won that one. Ashley's getting better with the fouls... didn't help he got two in quick succession in the third. Refs can't seem to deem a block a block.

Sek Henry probably had his worst shooting performance in his career tonight.
Brandon Ashley with another solid performance but again with the foul issues.
Tommy V stepped up massively apart from the missed layup and a couple of 3’s he should have passed up.
Abercrombie no longer playing passenger and contributing offensively is a massive positive so far.
Majok showed his worth when it was needed but picked up a couple of cheap offensive fouls.
Weeks was solid and Rausbatch wasn’t terrible off the bench.
Webster didn’t settle for jumpers or 3’s and got to the rack at will but his improvement defensively has been huge.
RJ Hampton ran the team well, picked his moments and defended. He won’t be hurting his draft stocks with a game like that.

Cairns showed a ton of fight after trailing double digits at half time and were in it till the end. NZ pretty lucky to walk away with the win. Perth aren’t going to be any easier on the weekend and if Hopson is out it’ll be a big ask against a well oiled machine while the Breakers are the walking wounded.

Cairns bench other than Jawai so bad, you can’t win games with those guys certainly down the stretch when you got starters in foul trouble.

Deng is a moron. Why would he throw that garbage up given the amount of time still left.

Great game, how can two nz commentators be better than three Australian. They are far better.

These refs man, LET THE PLAYERS PLAY

Yeah, the Hopson injury didn't look too bad, but it's often those ones that end up the worst. Hopefully it's minor.

Breakers up 11 at the half.
Fingers crossed NZ don’t lose Hopson for the season.
NZ having some rough luck with injuries.

Years ago

Hopson? More like Hopsoff, amirite?

With a hyperextension like that there's a decent chance it's not too serious. Fingers crossed for him.

Djeric is so bad, surely there were better players in nbl1 than a Serbian div two player.

Yeah not sure if the New Zealand crowd understand that they need to take over that chant eventually. Love a clap just not a fan of the yelling part.

Years ago

Nothing worse than hearing the court announcer trying to lead cheers such as "Defence" or "Let's go Breakers Let's go!"

Block at one end is a foul at the other, Cairns getting screw early.

Rof.
I like Jacks reviews too.
If you read his last paragraph he’s sitting on the fence. “Splinters” should be his name.
Breakers could win but maybe Cairns will win.
Have a guess. Good luck. I’m on Breakers

I hate these early Thursday (and Friday) night games in NZ. Most NZ home games should be Saturday/Sunday, otherwise it's pretty bad for a lot of Australian viewers.

Loe is expected to be out x4 weeks.
Hopefully NZ can start stringing some wins together.

so, if you could have any 5 players currently in the NBL, for your starters, who would they be?
Mine:
Cedric Jackson - PG
Ben Madgen - SF
Ian Crosswhite - C
Damian Martin - SG
Seth Scott - PF
