Never heard of FirstEver, but regardless of who they are, its still up to the 36er Management to sign off on such crap. They see $ signs and nothing else.

I keep coming back to that Adelaide one. I mean, seriously. It's a white shirt. What a waste of time.

If the Breakers' typeface had a bit less Hawaiian beach (and made sense for player names), I'm all for it. Although the singlets look weird tucked in (can't see the Maui hook).

These jerseys make it more obvious that sublimated jerseys make the pro's look like joe's, and First Ever won't ever be a premier apparel manufacturer. Just you wait until variants of these jerseys are on their customisable store.

Not true in the case of the 36ers for this season's City jersey - FirstEver were responsible for the designs.

The Breakers Jersey is good.

What is the point of this when the popular heritage round hasn't even scratched the surface of retro jersey options? Plus this season we have an indigenous round. Every single jersey is awful. At least last season we had SWOOP CITY for the lulz but even that is gone now. This exercise is utterly pointless.

I'm sure the Breakers Maui hook is a screen grab from Moana.

Adelaide: LMAO, why even bother

Brisbane: not too bad. Agree that the maroon would be good.

Cairns: i really like it

Illawarra: pretty good, reminds me of the Wildcats jersey a few years ago that had the city skyline though

Melbourne: looks like their regular jersey thats just been spiced up a little. Looks cool but doesn't wow me.

NZ: bold design, one of my favourites

Perth: better version of last years, i think its ok but don't love it.

SEM: pretty boring, up there with adelaides as one of the worst.

Sydney: not too bad, could be better

I think there's no howlers this year, which is a start, but most are still pretty average. Perth, New Zealand, Illawara and Cairns would be the best of the bunch. The rest are instantly forgettable.

Why do they bother with this when they can't even get standard uniforms looking good?

Until they change the positioning of the team name / logo so that it is higher (at the expense of the sponsor) NBL uniforms will have an peak of "not too bad" at best.

While we are on the topic of the league getting it wrong with jerseys...

1. I don't understand why we can't see less white for away singlets. Make them "class" singlets IF needs be must.

Example: SEM, why can't their away singlet be their green? The colour they were wearing on their singlets all preseason!

NZ light blue, Cairns orange, SEM green, Sydney yellow look fine against 36ers home singlet.


2. Return the trim ffs.

Cairns and NZ ones heading in the right direction but don't like the execution of any of them. Surprised they get them so wrong.

The Adelaide jersey is pathetic. Last year it made no sense, so this year they've made it "choose your own adventure" or something. Draw your own logo?

Sure, people identify with the "City of Churches" moniker, so at least put the St Peters spires on there or something to give it a point of interest.

Across the board average IMO. Brisbane looks the best and NZs is cool. The rest are quite boring.

I actually quite like the Cairns one. It's simple, but I like it.

Adelaide - lolwhat - terrible
Brisbane - good opportunity to use Queensland maroon. Jersey otherwise looks ok
Cairns - very average
Illawarra - not bad, not great
Melbourne - bad
NZ - Looks cool
Perth - Didn't change much, but looks cool, I like it the most
SEM - That's lazy - should have done heartland with green as their primary colour
Sydney - Meh, ok

they are all terrible/average. illawarra passes only because that SLAM logo is so cool

Thought this deserved a thread separate from the main club statement thread.

As should have been obvious after Marty survived the other weekend and has now been confirmed by the club's recent press release, Marty Clarke will see out his coaching contract with the 36ers.

Nice to have confirmation either way. Good luck to the team for the duration of the season. Finish strong!
