SEM v NZ Nov 9
If Hampton hadn't stood over Madgen nothing else would have happened.

Agreed. Overreaction from the refs re Hampton.
"Their pre-season preparation was extremely disjointed and included a distracting US tour where they got comprehensively thrashed... twice"
They lost one of those games by 14 didn't they? And were within single figures in the last quarter?

I agree, for all the talk of Shamir the Breakers are no better off in the win column.
Doesn’t seem to have any trust in Majok or Deng which leaves Ashley’s back minutes to Vodanovich.
NZ gave the Phoenix decent looks and then at the other end went iso for contested jumpers.
Unless Loe, Delaney and Hopson can recover miraculously, the Breakers are done.

Was at the game today and noticed Walsh screaming at Loeliger following the Hampton ejection.
There's something about the guy that makes me feel this is not going to end well for the Breakers franchise.

Was at the game today and noticed Walsh screaming at Loeliger following the Hampton ejection.
Not a good look, imo.

We're upset because when you do as much as what you've done with the franchise, you have to win.
The fans would have probably come to grips early on with the off-court ownership problems if we started off with a better record.
But now, the ownership group can't exactly run off the "we're here to win" script as a justification for the off-court drama - because its clearly not working.
I've always said that if you're going to be the villain, you sure as hell need to make sure you're a successful villain. Your success is less scrutinised when you're the good guy.

That was disgusting by the Breakers. They just got clapped by 25 against a Phoenix team who really didn't play too well at all (and when SEM did play well it was a large part due to horrible defence).
Walsh says he has "high expectations" on personnel - so where to from here?

Man, Rice looks like a disaster - this NZ huddle also looks like a disaster, yikes.

Rice is amazing... ly bad.
This has happened once before with hog Carlos Powell that the previous ownership learnt never to do again. Walsh getting that lesson now.

Whilst Hudson is a skilful commentator no doubt, I'm really not a fan of him for basketball - because he uses AFL terms/AFL commentary phrases to describe the plays (probably not a big deal but it just irks me).

The Breakers are a mess Rice really hurts them how much he hogs it. The guy is clearly showcasing himself at the expense of his current team, no NBL team would be interested in signing Rice if he keeps this up.

Pretty horror 3rd quarter by the Breakers. Again, its the 3rd quarter. Seriously, what do they do at HT?
Is it just me or do things just seem chaotic with the Breakers - guys are remonstrating, all the Breakers coaches are up and running the sideline, guys are complaining and biting at eachother on TO's etc. I have leadership concerns about this Breaker team and whether the coach really has control of this group?
The language used by the SEM coach to describe the short players in that TO made me LOL!

Roberson has really gone off the boil after his hot start, better scouted now I guess.

I just found Rice's worst crime:
In December 2015, he appeared in season 8 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Sth Melbourne look very weak. Creek has not stepped up. Stephens and Crockett are poor. Madgen is a good open shooter but has to be one of the weakest defenders going around. Roberson MIA. Game is fhere for the Breaker's taking.

God Rice is theatrical and dramatic.
Noticed he kept distance as well from his team in a timeout.

Not incredibly smart from Hampton, but I think maybe a touch unlucky too. I think the retaliation against Roberson probably didn't need to get called.

Rosen had no idea what was going on and admitted to it even though it was as a pretty simple chain of events. Useless commentary.

So, if Rice is allowed to play more than 17 minutes, this time, then,
NZ will win.
That's a sweet shooting action. Pretty to watch.

Hampton has used his length to trouble smaller guards well so far and he’s faced the best in Cotton, Ware and Trimble

I like NZ's chances, but a lot of responsibility on Hampton re: guarding Roberson. Since the Wildcats game I feel like the league has sort of figured him out by being physical and keeping him out of his groove, but that's a big ask for a young'in like Hampton.

Pretty big day in sports with Lance Armstrong admitting to doping in his TDF wins.
Following the saga on Twitter as I cant watch the interview, so anyone out there want to give us a run down?
The choice of Oprah as an interviewer was obviously a PR related one, but I would have much preferred a more hard hitting interview. Im sure not all the questions we want answered will be asked.
Personally I'm pretty dissapointed, I was a HUGE Lance supporter and defender, swept up in the fairytale and am now feeling quite betrayed by whaat seems a pathalogical liar.
Still, you cant question his work with the Livestrong group and the millions he has raised for cancer.
