Agree, it's any sport. There's an old saying in motor racing: "Speed costs money. How fast can you afford to go?"

^^^^^
It’s the same in every main competition in the world, you spend more you win more.

Comes down to one thing in this league at the moment $$$$
Hard to blame Joey when Adelaide doesn't have the $$$$ to spend on quality talent.
It is no wonder the 3 teams who are championship favorites pay well overs on the salary cap.
Commentators consistently referred to the lack of talent Adelaide has compared to the top team, unfortunately in the current environment $$$$ gets the W's
This is why it makes me sick listening to how good Sydney etc. are when you know how much extra they are paying. Championships are bought in this league at the moment.
It is great to go on about what a great competition it is and how much talent is in the league but it is far from a level playing field and actually what is happening is the smaller teams with no money are being forced out of the competition due to this short-sighted management strategy. Without these teams there is no competition, this is a fact.

Has anyone ever scored 100 in 4 straight games in the 40 minute era?

Positive vibes positive energy positive mindset...
Power of collective energy will displace negative neutrons...meaning if you doubt you fail. You seek to doubt you become lost.

Please please please. You dare bash adelaide at your peril. Team continually responds under pressure year in year out. 2 massive games coming. 2 massive wins and game on. Don't see Perth as tough as previously Brissy flaky and so are SEM. calling for joeys head - no sense. Foundation very solid group - tighten up D and she be apples.

Teys got that end of quarter buzzer beating reverse layup. I'd be talking one year extension.

They clearly look better with Randle, and need him to play the majority of the game. That said, Drmic impressed me this afternoon, mainly for his level headedness. He is making huge strides and demonstrating more of the talent he has, and less of that headcase he was labelled as. Good on him too.

I felt Adelaide had to adjust to the ticky tack calls. Melbourne didn’t adjust however that 2nd quarter was more like bashball then anything else.
NBL need to clean up the inconsistent game calling which occurs in Melbourne. Will Weaver was on the money. You have ticky tack crap called at one end and mugby happening at the other end.
Teams that adjust end up looking like they are giving open looks and open baskets, however they can’t do squat without a foul, therefore it’s adjust or ride pine.

Goulding is the nbl version (lite) of James harden. Can't play defence to save his life (2 d breakdowns in a row) but can shoot.
But the fucking commentators still talk about him like he is Jordan and NEVER call out his defence!

Knowledgeable commentators calling Rundle to improve over the season due to short pre-season.
Wasn’t his best season when he came in as late injury replacement?

Has the NBL picked up more sponsors or advertisers, or does SBS sell half time ads in addition to the NBL’s spots?

Predicting final ladder positions based on the results of each quarter. Welcome to hoops.com.au.

Doesn’t say much about adelaide if Melbourne are awful. I don’t see ego out there - they share the ball well.

Correct. I predicted and stay with it. Adelaide to play finals. United won't.... United ego ego ego.

Adelaide going just nicely. United aren't.

I was wondering the same thing last night when Heal, Rosen and Hudson were in the bunker. The former two are based in Sydney and the latter in Adelaide as far as I know. So much for cost cutting on flights.

Did the NBL fly a Rugby League commentator (Matt Russell) down to Melbourne to commentate a game from Melbourne Arena in a basement?

Adelaide have lost all 3 games against the top three teams. Melbourne have won 2 and lost 3 against the top three teams.
Melbourne remind me of 2017-18, when they took a little while to gel, and they now look like they're getting into their rhythm. Just like this season, at this point in 2017-18 they were 4-4. Then they went 15-5 for the rest of the regular season.
Melbourne to win this one.

I would like to say otherwise but Melbourne are starting to get going and with Prather back now and playing at home I can't see them losing this.
United by 12

Adelaide to win. Be in top 4 and stay there.... games in hand will assist. U ited ru to halt a d splitter. Randle to have his way. Frolinv to destroy. Too big.

good comeback after a loss in Qld - congrats hannah on 100th wnbl game.
get ready for dandy next Friday !
