MEL v SEM Nov 16
He does deflect....there was an entire sequence of discussion about CG kicking his legs out. LV responds by saying he has to catch up to Cotton.
Refs gift United yesterday's game. LV brings up his asinine Maccaron analysis.

LV again deflecting by assigning any criticism of reffing in Utd games as being made by rigtards. Lame attempt please try again.

LV ignore Perthworld. No one takes him seriously. I'd go as far as no one really acknowledges his existence, on here or in real life.

Not deflecting, I already said United got lucky, not much else needs to be said
It's hard not to love the way SEM goes about it, I almost would've been happier if they won. United will make playoffs, guaranteed. SEM needed the win more
But anyone who thinks the reffing is constantly rigged for United just needs to revisit Games 1 and 3 of the 2019 GF. Pay particular attention to Mitch McCarron.

Refs ruined the end of that game, but they ruin a lot of games, they need to use more common sense, shocking to watch sometimes

Zach Randolph was at the game yesterday.. poor dude could barely move and was getting swamped by people

A bit pedantic Lovebroker, but whatever floats your boat. McDaniel has been a passenger in said car all season, and actually got behind the wheel a little before the crash. Nothing to do with the playlist.

Other better talking points....that you prefer of course.
Focusing on McDaniel in this game as a talking point is like investigating a car crash and looking first at the what song was on the playlist at the time.

Yes, true on Creek. He constantly drew soft contact fouls in the 1st half. With that reffing, someone as explosive as Creek- with his newfound poise- is almost impossible to guard
So the call on Gibbo wasn't inconsistent. But still a bit unlucky I reckon.
Still, there are other better talking points
- Creek is 1st on the MVP power rankings with daylight 2nd
- Longs mental fragility being exposed
- Keith Benson, wow
- Solid contributions from United's lesser lights. Ili was great in 2nd half, but there was a stretch 1st half with McDaniel, Acuil, Smith Milner all impressing together. Great to see.

Wow, Benson really took over at both ends. He owned the 2nd half after Creek owned the 1st half and SEM still lost. United just had too many contributors
SEM unlucky- soft call on Gibbo to close the game
The throwdowns are living up to Dwayne Russell's hype- if that's possible! Great game.

Creek has done that his whole career. He creates the contact by using his arm to fend off, and always gets the favorable call. It is officiated very inconsistently, which frustrates those there to see an evenly called contest.

It’s interesting all the commentary on the last foul of the game. In the first half, Creek lived on the charity stripe on a number of very soft or questionable foul calls.

Thats why Dane is awesome. He knows his role, and he does it with conviction! A team guy.

Phoenix had better hope Benson keeps stepping up because as useful as Pineau has been he’s not winning you finals games. Benson sat on the bench to long today in the fourth when Phoenix were on top to allow Melbourne back in it.

SEM have had a few blowout wins, so that is hardly unexpected. Pinau got pantsed in Showdown II but really stood up in Showdown III. Is really showing his value this year for the Phoenix. So far has shown that he belongs in the NBL after some questions were asked last year in Sydney. I hope he can keep it up

This season:
Pineau +36 in 166 minutes
Long +27 in 258 minutes
Read into that whatever you want. ;-)

If Harry Froling played with half the heart and hustle of Dane Pinau then I guarantee that Adelaide would have more than three wins.. against the bottom three teams. He did a great job today.

Creek arm bars all the way to the basket and gets free throws. It is like he is still at Adelaide

Someone tell homicide his mvp is in his mind only, probably been promised a cut if he talks him into an nba spot.

Everyone will have to realise that Melo, Casper and Cotton are too good single coverage down the stretch and will decide most close games. When they get the ball in the front court you have to get it out of their hands. That is double with your big and it won't always work. But they are too good leaving them at the mercy of one player. Teams seem to accept a slow death.

Clearly a body foul by gibson but did u see the chirp between creek and long after the game, going to be more to come from this i say

The refereeing in that last quarter was absolutely disgraceful. Way to spoil a great game.

Stith on the score sheet, don’t matter if he gets on or not. United got import sitting on side line for emergencies. Surely can’t be in the rules.
Agree Phoenix absolutely robbed.

Agree with Anonymous there. Phoenix screwed on the +1 & soft on Trimble

Gaze spot on. Context matters. So many referees show such poor feeling for the game. If Benson wasn't fouled then how was Trimble?

United supporters celebrating Trimble's last play are the same ones that said those fouls shouldn't get called at the end of the game. Eg. When Dolla Beal got fouled by Majok.

Yeah that call at the end was rubbish. Horrible way to end an otherwise entertaining game.

Agree with Anonymous there. Phoenix screwed on the +1 & soft on Trimble

Smart play Trimble on 2nd foul shot. Pity commentators can’t pick that happening before it does. Good game

So Trimble misses the last free throw yet Phoenix kind of were asleep at the wheel there surprised they had the ball from the board.

Phoenix fucking robbed. Benson clearly fouled and Trimble make believe foul. Great game wrong result.

19.3 secs left. Shot clock lunches itself. Yep. Professional

Melbourne got four imports, Stith suited up and on score sheet, plus Prather hurt, Long, Trimble.

Now the scores change way too slowly. Is it deliberate? If so they've staggered it too far out after made baskets.
