Next Step in Next Stars Program?
The NZ Rugby Team has an all black starting fifteen. What's the big deal?

Strange thing to say, especially when two of those guys are Australian citizens.

"A next star draft won't work but, an nbl1 draft could work.
Take the best young uncontracted Australian and New Zealand players from the nbl1 season and make a small draft class and let the NBL teams pick from the draft class along the same lines as the nba."
I don't know much about NBL1, but would the uncontracted players be NBL standard anyway?

or un-drafted but under a certain age, and the league deems them likely to be drafted next year. That's not how the draft works.

Next Stars should all have to sign up by a specific time, all commit to a day where they get put through a "draft combine" of sorts, have a few scrimmages with every teams recruitment department watching in the building. Teams can put in bids for the players they would like on their roster with precedence given to teams finishing lower on the ladder from the previous season. If you don't bid on any players then move on.

Just that usual thread we get once we all realize this season is done and look to the next one. Working on the assumption that all currently listed players are keen to stay, what would you do with the roster for next season?
Here i go:
C: L.Schenscher
PF: A.Petrie
SF/PF: S.Weigh
PG/SG: J.Cadee
PG/SG: A.Gibson
C/PF: Import big (not a budget import, a Hudson/Dunigan type)
SF/SG/PF: M.Creek
PG/SG: T.Daly
+2 budget guys outside of the rotation. A SG shooter as one. Massingale maybe.
Gone: DJ, Crosswell, Christopherson, Pero
Gibbo, Creek, Cadee, Weigh, Luke and Peach form a potential championship core that has to be retained. DJ can take his massive offensive potential elsewhere since it doesn't look like he'll ever shake the softness and defensive laziness. Find an import Big who wont need to be cut after 10 games.
Plus a new coach but please refrain from making this another sack marty thread.
