Who chastised me about predicting Hawks to win?

36ers just didn’t bring the intensity, Griffins defence sucks, Randle stifles the offence by holding the ball up too much.

Generally, 36ers also missed shots that they would normally get when performing better.

Adelaide got murdered in the paint early on then didn’t defend the perimeter very well, that’s a guaranteed concoction of failure

Yes Randles defence is bad but better than Griffin, his is non existent.

I don't know what bothers me more about Preston. Fouling out in five minutes, constantly mugging for the cameras on the bench, or wearing his shorts back-to-front for the entire game.

It's an almost impressive level of stupid.

Darrington Hobson is horrible, he barely plays defence. Horrible recruiting as expected by Illawarra.

They have a leader in Randle. Just no soldiers behind him.

On the plus side for Adelaide.....

Tonight's attendance was a 36ers and South Australian record of 8,824.

For all those in the pre-season who were lamenting the move from Titanium to the Entertainment Centre, that attendance would never have happened at Findon.

I’m not certain hunger is the coaches department, professional players should do that them selves. Joey doesn’t pick balanced teams imo, to many flash and show guys and not enough grunt, and White, Teys, McVeigh, Froling don’t count as grunt. The four spot is critical defensively if your five is more an offensive player. Drimic is a two guard, not a three so if you got Randle as a point guard you need a good three and D guy in the three. Anyway just a few thoughts.

That’s as bad a loss as the 36ers have suffered in recent years. That’s the sort of loss that can kill off a season, mentally they looked shot. That hawks team was so undermanned, insane result when you think about it.

Randle while scoring heavily gets scored on to easily, not as bad as Griffin though. Adelaide are so poor defensively.

Illawarra got the makings of a good squad. Dech, Glover, Naar are a good future, Grida not so much.

When does the coach take responsibility? Only for wins? They came out flat, whatever he said pregame, had zero effect.

Stop blaming Joey and start looking at the players. Everyone except Randle and Teys, surprisingly. Joey is not a miracle worker. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

That one falls on the coach. The 6ers didn’t come out with any level of hunger and intensity. Such an Adelaide thing to perform so poorly when a big crowd rocks up too.

Don't blame Randle for this mess. Without him and what he brings we would be a shit show on every single level. He carried, but his teammates let him down, and us. Drmic a bad turnover late. Poor defensive rotations and contests. Griffin and absolute witches hat at one end, and a non-factor at the other. He needs help.

Griffin is a turn style on defence, if he not scoring you 25 you behind on the score board. To many Adelaide players inconsistent. Froling, McVeigh so over rated.
