New Zealand Breakers will make playoffs
Hahaha not quite the Simpsons in regards to predictions but on the right track.
Hopefully SE Melb don’t spoil the Breakers party.

Great call by me

Fortunately they have enough games left for import cut off.
Do criminal background check first though :)

More than just a 'good' effort.
Henry's season could be in jeopardy if it's a calf. I didn't even see the incident. Wouldn't be surprised if they get a replacement import in

Getting there Fieldel still need Melbourne or Cairns to drop a couple of games.
5 in a row dude. Good effort.

Yeah just giving this one a bump

Uninspiring

Don't dude me, chief

Don't dude me, bro

They're 7th dude

Unfortunately not one game did I put the money where the mouth was haha. Unreal. How about you, Mystro?
And where you at Lovebroker? Where'd you go champion?

Lovebroker where you at?

How bout now?

How we feeling about the Breakers now lads?

To be fair, the Breakers finally have a 7-man rotation that knows its role, is team-first and don't have duplicating skillsets. Not having a healthy Loe/Delany took its toll on the team. At the same time, I'm doubtful on playoffs (even if we're 1.5 games back).

“This team is actually serious, and chemistry is sky high.”
Good to see a reversal of form from:
This team is actually sky high, and chemistry is sky serious.

Personally don’t think it matters.
If they get 4th they’re just going to be bounced in the semis anyway. Miles behind the top 2.
It’s like that team that gets 8th seed in the NBA. Yeah well done you made playoffs but you still finished 8th out of 15 teams in your conference so you’re only mid pack really.

The joy of the players post-game shows that Shamir is doing a better job than people think

I think the playoffs might be a stretch but I expect NZ to have a big say on who gets 4th spot.
I agree LV on Hopson making everyone around him better and with him attacking the rim along with Delaney NZ were able to get to the foul line instead of just bombing away from outside like they have done all season. Delaney went what 9/10 from the free throw line which was a massive change from the days of Vukona & co.
Shamir must still be laughing at the replace Sek Henry comments getting thrown around a few weeks ago. The guy is a stud with the ball in his hands and as good as anyone defensively.
Body language was awesome and Dan Shamir had the playing groups utmost attention when he addressed them.
The players look like they really enjoy playing together and it was superb to see them rewarded with a win.
Delaney looks like he’s not only getting better as a player but confident enough to pull guys aside or speak up in the huddle.

Who even cares?
It's a three-team league, and three more teams are fighting over the right to get swept out of the playoffs by (probably) Sydney. Does it really matter all that much?
The recent capitulations we've been seeing from them would indicate they're not too keen on the idea either.

Shamir is actually a bloody basketball genius. I'm digging NZ. Paying $126 to win the Championship, hook in

Just looked at fixture, scrap that, Illawarra has 6 games left vs top 3. Tough fixture. They should finish last.
Brisbane vs NZ is a huge matchup with 3 games left.

Delaney similar at NZ, has scored double figures in 5 of their last 6, opportunity awaits him this year and he's grabbing it, after 4 or 5 years at the age of 24. His time is now.

NZB won't make playoffs but they'll keep things interesting
Brisbane will finish last. There's my big prediction. They're 6-9 And 5 games left against the top 3, of which they might win 1. 2 if they're lucky. 1-4 And 3-5 in the others finishes them at 10-18. With the resurgence of Illawarra and NZ with new/ returned imports and Ball/Hampton not far away, that might not be enough.
Hobson is a guy who improves those around him, and there's plenty of young guys in career best form eg Dech, Naar. Hopson at NZ is a jet.

Oh they're killers all right. Talk to you in a couple weeks LB

Not wanting a flame war, just an answer. Is Boti still with The Advertiser?
