I can't find anything to substantiate it. Surprisingly Motum is third in his position on Valencia's depth chart so basically a 11th/12th man.

That game against United Benson played one of the best halves of basketball you'll see in the NBL this season

But, sounds like a matchup issue. Mitchell must be uncomfortable using him in most situations.

he was a great post defender and rim protector - i'm sure they knew he was never going to be a high volume scorer but he was NOT at all a scoring presence in the NBL

Put up 20 and 8 in 18 minutes versus Long in the round 7 clash vs United. Seemed to have some moves and offered a big body down low. Surely he offered more than Pineau but he just didn’t get enough minutes. Was there a personality clash?

Maybe if they started him alongside Pineau and played him decent minutes he might have had a chance to find consistency... head scratcher when they were in desperate need for an impact big.

Well it’s late, but hopefully they’ve got a decent replacement. Koberulz thinks it’s hard to recruit someone to Melbourne, tough sell of a city, but hopefully they find someone.
