Commentary Team For The Grand Final

We will all end up making our own commentary on here anyway.

Commentary should be neutral, Heal obsession with his mates is horrendous.

Yeah chuck Andrew Mulligan in there for sure.

The sideline reporter is obviously going to depend on who's playing, what time the games are, who's broadcasting them, etc. If the games are on SBS Lachy Reid can't do them, for example, so Redhage would be in place in Perth. Not sure if there are similar clashes in other states.

I love Santamaria as a colour guy, and it irritates me that they try to get him to do play-by-play but he still gets plenty of opportunities to offer insight over the course of the broadcast so it's not a huge issue. Casey would be great if they can fly him in for the grand final. Heverin and Luke haven't been too bad.

Gaze, Hooley, Santamaria, and Heal are all capable, although with Heal it can depend who's playing.

But we can construct these dream rosters all we like, I think we all know Homicide's getting a gig. If Melbourne make it they might be content to put him on the sidelines but otherwise he's going to be in the commentary booth.

That said he's honestly not been that awful this year. He seems a lot quieter. Again, depends who's playing - he's obnoxious during United/Kings games - but there have been games where it feels like he goes minutes at a time without chipping in.

He is the nostalgic voice of the early 2000’s, is a pro, knows his stuff, doesn’t talk for the sake of hearing his own voice etc. he really is a wasted talent, being crossed to, to discuss hungry jacks burger giveaways

Dwayne Russel has his place in commentary - AFL. I don’t mind his AFL calling but the NBL knowledge is cringeworthy. He tries to put a spin or a pun on every play. Tone it down Dwayne, you’re not Marv Albert.

Has to be Homicide. all haters on here are going to hate but unless Homicide is on the Mic I mute the commentary.

Has Casey even called a game yet this season? Doesn't seem like they even want to pay to fly him over from Adelaide to call any games doubt they start doing it come GF time.
