Just a thought, why don't these teams sign better players at start or conversely if they struggle in first 5 games cut them and get the replacement in early.
Can even replace the replacement then can't you?

Simmons as starting 2 guard? Where's their shooting coming from? He's a career 31% 3pt shooter! Could be useful for them defensively to have a 6'6 wing, but offensively he's not a great fit with Creek.

Don't get too carried away, Simmons has been trash on NBA rosters for a number of years now. But yes, he would be a very good pickup for them.

Santamaria said it was unlikely though as he was on the verge of an NBA deal.

I'd assume he'd replace Magden as their starting 2.

A starting lineup of Roberson, Simmons, Creek, Wesley, Pineau would be elite.

Where does he fit in their line-up? It seemed like they were pretty stable with their starting 5 and seems like a bit of a double-up with Creek (and I'm not sure Simmons is better than Creek at this stage - he was pretty ordinary in his final stint with Orlando and Phila).

Just doing a quick flick through the remaining schedule and i noticed something.

NZ have currently played 1 game more than Perth.

But NZ still have 1 double week remaining, while perth dont.

Does that mean NZ will finish with 2 games more played then perth?
