Cats v Bullets Feb 9
Plumlee's footwork is great too and can handle the ball, something our bigs have lacked for years. It's nice seeing your big man get the ball and not internally say, "please don't travel".

"Was the foul count too close to equal for your liking Senator11? 19-22 not enough home cooking for you?"
Bahahaha, didn't say anything about fouls either way, in fact I had retards all around me saying every foul against the Cats was not a foul when it was 100% a foul. The hate and salt towards the Cats is real.

Has Sobey lived up to expectations in his first season in Brisbane ?? While I don’t normally agree with anything Heal says I think he’s right on there imports, bar Patterson, is they just took time from there locals, most of whom went backwards. Needed an import point guard and Patterson, all other positions covered by Australian players.

I haven't looked at the numbers, but it felt like the Cats completely shut down the Bullets outside shot compared to the last few months, Bullets always tend to light us up, and have been on a shooting tear recently just from watching them play. Was a fairly average game, Cotton and Kay were immense again, as was Patterson for the Bullets, but he had no help at all. Refs were absolutely horrendous again, don't heads roll in the NBA if terrible calls are made? These guys need to be held accountable if they want to referee at this level and should cop some type of punishment when they make horrendous calls. I'm assuming they're not paid that well maybe?

All the big bash games have looked empty. It’s a gimmick of game and punters see through it.

13,501 in attendance in the jungle today. Turns out that is more than the average Big Bash League (cricket) finals attendance this season.
AVERAGE ATTENDANCE FOR BBL FINALS
BBL07 (2017/18) — 43,330
BBL08 (2018/19) — 22,854
BBL09 (2019/20) — 13,342

Yeah I've been happy with White's season too. He's in a real slump lately though and he's got < 2 weeks to snap out of it.

I found that one an interesting game to watch despite it being pretty ugly from both teams, but I'm probably in the minority on that one.
Just glad to get the W and have the captain back and making an instant positive impact. Also glad that Steindl didn't get shy after missing a bunch of good looks early.
Hopefully that was the last midrange jumpshot I ever see Plumlee take.

"as accurate as Terrico. Cats shot like trash and still won comfortably and never for a moment looked like they thought they were cruising"
Respect to someone who shoots down their own argument even before they make it.
You highlight the fact that White looked asleep for the most of the game, but then claim it never looked like he was cruising. LMFAO

I can’t see Cairns messing with form heading into the playoffs
Their players aren’t ancient like Sydney and I don’t think anyone is carrying any injuries
Hopefully they pants United and Goulding has a doughnut

Thanks Perth!!!!

Haha that’s gold #843
Thank you Wildcats, now we just need Cairns to take care of United.

Brisbane's most likely done now. Combination of loss and big percentage hit hurts.

Patterson would be unanimous MVP if he had the body of a professional athlete instead of a middle aged office worker.

In a way I'm glad the Bullets didn't make it given how poorly they constructed their roster. NZ deserve to be in there, although I'd rather the Kings face United than NZ at the moment.

Cotton only got flay his arms and he’s on the stripe. Gleeson should wear a green shirt.

Perth need to go at Patterson and Hodgson like NZ did.
Missing quite a few open shots as well.
Hopefully they start dropping.

It counted. They added it to the score but the commentary are too simple to check that

I was worried it was my audio setup. But no, of course NBL have stuffed up their telecast again.

Commentary can't even tell if the bucket counted because of the sound issue

Can barely hear it and out of sync... See incredible

Yet another game where the sound is slightly ahead of the vision. Real encouraging with the playoffs around the corner. Lift your game NBL/SBS.

Sound levels are fucked

I’d like to see Brisbane win big so Cairns could get a shot at second spot and the home finals advantage, now that would be magnificent. Problem with my theory is are to reliant on Patterson, so it’ll be cats by 15.

There will be a lot of Melbourne and New Zealand fans cheering on the cats today, thats for sure.

If Taipans win their next two games and Breakers best Phoenix that puts Breakers into the four!

If Cats win this and Taipans drop the next two, we probably see Bullets, Breakers, United 15-13 each and they are all on 101% with United then Breakers then Bullets if we break down the point percentages.

Perth will put Brisbane out of hope this afternoon, brave effort by bullets lately but to many flakey players. Perth to beat there chests on every Plumlee dunk. It could get ugly. Perth by 18.

Like the gladiatorial battles of old, the fans call for the blood of the opponents and are rarely disappointed when Damo lifts the severed heads of point guards to the crowd. There's a reason why they wear red and that is to hide the blood.

Surprised that this wouldn't have already been done?
The article in full is very waffly so I bolded one of the few bits worth reading:
“Much of this progress is a result of the NBL Strategic Plan, which has set forecast targets for 2014/15 and identified short to medium term strategic priorities and key actions.Full article
“While the NBL is on track to meet attendance and membership targets, the reality is that there is more we can do to grow the League, particularly when it comes to expansion in major metropolitan markets, television viewership and financial return to our Clubs.”
Ms Keneally said the Board of Basketball Australia have resolved to produce a White Paper that examines options for the future strategic growth of the NBL.
The NBL White Paper will build on the NBL Strategic Plan, defining and evaluating further strategic options with the aim of arriving at a clear direction – endorsed by the Board and the NBL – to give the League the best opportunity at financial success.
