Perhaps we’re lucky Kyrie can’t play for the Boomers. Imagine being coach of a team which includes such precious players as Irving, Simmons, Bolden and Bogut.

Hindsight is truly a wonderful thing and having said that, did the 36ers make the right call in their heavy recruiting of big Luke?

Don't get me wrong I'm a fan but I just feel that spending the big dollars on Luke was the wrong call for the 36ers this season. I know he suffered some tough injuries during the season but that aside I don't think he made our team any better. For me, with DJ already signed we really didn't need another 7 footer IMO.

In Luke's first stint with the Sixers during the Ninnis era he was automoatic, night in night out for 20 & 10, with players such as Maher,Davidson and even J.Hodge using the big man to great affect at the offensive end.

I thought he struggled in Perth and didn't seem to suit their systems yet in Townsville with a veteran PG in Eddie Gill he was again utilized more effectively in the offence. This season back with the 36ers it looked as though Luke was lost quite a bit and didn't seem to know how to impact the game and impose himself in Clarke's system.

Basically I think we need a veteran, quality PG who can use Luke's skill set to advantage or else he's just chewing up a large chunk of salary cap in a system that doesn't suit him.
