Stanbridge was incredibly overpaid at Norwood but was desperate to leave the toxic environment so would have gone back to market value. Same with McGee, wanted out of Eastern for years, couple of grand maybe for petrol money.
People think imports are on tens of thousands, reality is they get bugger all mainly, have to rely on camps and individual training to earn above poverty line.

Stanbridge wouldn’t have been cheap to get back from Norwood, McGee wouldn’t move across town for nothing. McGriff is a proven import and the other guy was a starter on a national title team in college.
That is not a cheap team.
