First Ever GONE and Champion takeover
Why do we need indigenous uniforms every round as part of usual uniform? Just design good ones, get rid of shit city ones.

Yes I thought all the various jerseys looked good.
You can hate on Smith, but he is a smart operator, but also a knob.

Forget about the jerseys I want Cairns to play all next season in their indigenous shorts from this season, they were epic and adding more colour to a uniform which I think wont get too many complaints especially with how much we hate on the white jerseys.

Not sure why everyone’s is getting excited. The jerseys and apparel won’t change in quality. Champion are using the same company to produce them as what M&N and First ever did. All they are doing is adding their own branding to it. Maybe some new designs but the actual quality will be the same.

It was always a massive gamble, part of me is disappointed as it shows that other than selling our country to the highest bidder nothing survives here.

"The other owners made no money from apparel and kicked up a stink so hence once old mate's little bro got the flick it was all over.
"
Or... I mean call me crazy... but the fact that Justin Kestleman went and got a plush new job a month ago as had been widely reported has a little more to do with it than the fact that your assumption that owners made no money off of apparel, which is flat out incorrect.

This is interesting to me. I actually felt First Ever were doing a good job with the NBL apparel. Sure, I thought their "Ath-wear" or whatever side-hustle was laughable, but I thought the NBL jerseys looked as good, if not better, than they ever have, with any design missteps generally being the fault of the half-assed designers the individual teams employ. I guess if this is happening it means First Ever is no longer existing. There will be no more annoying and monotonous ads on TV I guess. But let's not pretend this is the NBL "stepping up" to the point where Champion would look at them, because the NBL actually ditched Champion in the first place.

Perth Wildcats swingman Cam Tovey will retire at the end of the NBL playoffs.Full story
The 27-year-old made the announcement in front of teammates, coaching staff and a packed press gallery at Perth Arena this morning ahead of the Cats’ playoff opener against Wollongong tonight.
Tovey said he no longer had the drive to continue at the highest level as he worked to return to full fitness following a hip injury that has affected him this season.
No longer had the drive. Robbins ended up (from what I heard) "hating the game." I assume just coincidental/personal situations and not Bevo pushing them too hard.
Hope he enjoys the desk job. Would be a real change of pace.
