Boti on Twitter:

SA Scouts & SA Church bball new owners of Adelaide Arena.
From the 36ers site:
Scouts SA and the SA Church Basketball Association have partnered to take recent ownership of the Adelaide Arena, ensuring it remains the home of South Australia’s national basketball teams, the Adelaide 36ers and the Adelaide Lightning.

Scouts SA CEO, Dan Ryan said, “ We are very excited to be involved with this iconic South Australian Sports Stadium. It is an opportunity to co-brand Scouting with elite national level sport and the family demographic it attracts. We have a close and long term relationship with the 36ers management and very much benefit from this. When the Arena opportunity arose, a strategic decision was made to both broaden our investment portfolio and engage in another commercial fundraising activity.”

The Arena will also add a fourth business to Scouts SA’s commercial fundraising activities which include, the Scout Recycling Centre, Woodhouse Activity Centre and their retail stores, Scout Outdoor Centre and Annapurna in Rundle St. “All of this commercial activity exists to financially ‘future proof’ our organisation so our South Australian youth can enjoy the benefits and opportunities Scouting provides for at least another 100 years.” said Mr. Ryan

SA Church Basketball Association GM, Fiona Frick said, “We are excited to be involved with Adelaide Arena. The Adelaide Arena is an integral part of the South Australian Basketball Community from elite national level with the Adelaide 36ers and Adelaide Lightning to the beginners of the game.”
We have been concerned for some time that this iconic purpose built stadium might be lost to sport in this state, and particularly basketball.
Scouts and SA Church Basketball have a joint management company that will handle the stadium.

Both ultimately religious organisations FWIW.
