What will the VJBL season look like?
Bit of a nightmare for Associations. Health and safety protocols will be ramped up.
For most associations there will be an imperative for casual shooting to begin first, followed by domestic basketball.
The VJBL re-commencing will be later on.
The key is trying to mitigate risk - you would hate to be the one who opens the doors only to have the equivalent of a cedar meats breakout.
Council run facilities will still have to have the OK from their respective councils before beginning back.
The use of school venues for training and games will also be a sticking point.
Training outside is all well and good, but the guidelines have been confusing and some clubs have decided to advise their rep teams they aren't sanctioning those sessions - risk/injury, etc...
Still a fair bit to go before "normal" happens.

Vjbl won’t happen. New season to start at normal time of year

As a basketball stadium employee its 100 max inside that is everyone all up, so if uve got 6 courts same rules.
U will have to have teams with max 7 p players each, max 2 coaches, 2 refs and no crowd.
Teams can only arrive maxium 10 mins b4 the game and must leave 10 mins max afterwards. They will have to enter and exit different doors and must wait outside at a socially distant distance.
Its going to be a nightmare!
Most this stuff should b on bball vic website.
Vjbl looking more cooked than Rodman during his mid season break.

what restrictions are you on in Melbourne / Victoria ?

Scrap it or play weekend tournaments to catch up,not as many senior comps playing on weekends with demise of NBL 1 and such, hard to let it go too late in the year as you run into what would be grading normally,I’d be more inclined to think it might go into the too hard basket, one round of matches is sufficient maybe, top 2 playoff in grand final, for VC the 2 grand final winners meet to decide title Winner, feel sorry for kids in last year of 18s,but if you let it go too long thes guys will run into VCE exams,

A bit like the NZBL thread. No one cares.

And cost the Knicks about $2m this season? Can they afford to keep him next year?
