Fill the void
Vjbl re-starting on 17 July

Indoor trainings about to start up fully again. Games can't be too far away.

Indoor / outdoor is valid. But footy does seem to be more ready to go and have announced the start of the season on 12 July. Am sure there’s heaps of work going on to get the junior seasons going by a lot of good people, and would be good to hear more about expected timing.

Indoor sport v outdoor sport. No red carpet, just proximity of people.

Actually, when you think about it, might have been good to bring that and other bball forward and try to get some attention in the absence of other competitive sport. OP has a point. Some cajoling and organisation could have made that happen. Perhaps a missed opp.

Bias governments allowing the red carpet to be rolled out for football but holding basketball back.
Look at SA. Marshall Liberal government doing everything he could to get junior footy back on but bball was held back. Kids moving to football. The game gets weaker. Blame governments for their ridiculous restrictions. Currently multi court stadiums can only have twenty people in it yet full contact football training allowed. Remember this come election time.

For anyone who doesnt want to read it, its bassically the idea of organising a NBA team to come down to Australia and play a pre season game agaisnt An NBL team, or NBL all star team.
What does everyone think?
It would have the potential to get a huge crowd, if it were played it a large stadium, and huge publicity for the NBL in australian media
only problem is getting the NBA team to travel all the way down here to do so.
