SEM re-sign Kendall Stephens release Madgen & Trist
I think Brandt would know he's not worth superstar money in the NBL just that he likely makes a lot more in Europe than he could make here.

Realistically is Brandt even worth 'big money' that he could get in Europe? I'd suspect not?

I'd imagine he would be a good influence on Didi as well.
He could teach him the finer points of chair-throwing for instance.

Sydney could do worse than have Madgen and Bruce coming off the bench to give Louzada and (yet to be unnamed import point guard).
I'd imagine he would be a good influence on Didi as well.
Could he return with the desire of having his number retired ?

Bogut, Oliver and long...
Long won’t be here. Bogut half season if at all. Oliver has offers elsewhere

Adelaide-Humphries/Salt possibly
SEM-Pineau/C?
Melbourne-C?/Acuil
Sydney-C?/Hunter
Illawara-C?/Ogilvy
Brisbane-Hodgson/H.Froling possibly/Harrison
Cairns-potentially Oliver possibly/Jawai/S.Froling possibly
NZ-potentially Loe/Ashley possibly

Adnam is not the worst player in the league because the league has had players like Zac Delany, Scott Christophersen, Billy Preston and Kevin White.
Saying Adnam is not the worst player is not a ringing enodrsement.

Ben Madgen shot the 3 at 33%, the same % as Tryst, except Madgen was the starting shooting guard.
You'd thing having someone wit as much gravity as Roberson at your side, you could shoot a bit better than that.
Madgen can still play in the NBL, as a 6th or 7th man, at near league minimum less Covid discount.

Wtf is big x basketball

Surely SEM can shoulder Pineau as a starter if the others include Roberson, Creek and Wesley. Some strong teams have had competent role players that don't rock the boat or disrupt flow - Rees and Stiff in Adelaide were two, Egan with the Tigers, Tovey with Perth/etc.

White on long term deal or ns Wigness me thinks.

Who’s the young gun?

People on here seem to think about half the league is "below NBL standard", which makes one wonder how "NBL standard" is defined if it's not by, y'know, playing in the NBL.

Trist was never good, had ok numbers in a shitty Spanish 2nd league. Too slow and unathletic to make it in today's NBL. Madgen did some nice things in Europe but the league has improved immensely since he last played here. He was found out and struggled with his scoring and I'm sure age plays a factor in that.

Trist didn’t play top level Europe. SEABL imports play at the 2nd teir 3rd tier he did so no surprise he sucks in NBL

Trist's reputation was meant to be awesome when he returned from EU. Since then and certainly in SEABL he was never of any high level nor a threat. How he got and NBL gig is amazing to me. You can see the way Madgen plays that the game has left him behind.

Kendall showed promise in some game but defensively he was a liability. Trist was good in Spain but played at the second level. Jois was horrible and has no concept of team basketball.

Stephens was disappointing but maybe to convince him to re-sign as he does have genuine potential they're giving him the starting SG spot at Madgen's expense?

Trist probably about to be divorced now

Madgen is a great team guy, works SUPER hard and has always been fantastic off the court, most teams would be lucky to pick him up... Trist was lucky to get a gig last season but seemed to be treated like an afterthought even though he was fairly capable when given a chance...

I like Madgen so nothing against him personally, but if Daniel Dillion is signed we already have a bench guard the wrong side of 30.

I wonder if Madgen will finally come home to play for the 36ers?
He started out with us as a development player but we lost him when he went to college and then signed with Sydney when he came back.

Who is going to get up today? Bogut running the show but looks like they are going to get Lee to take some time off him. Personally I would be getting as much minutes out of Bogut - he is killing it.
