Asian player rule?
Lindt - there two separate guys called Singh, one played in the NBL for the Kings (and was rubbish) the other played in the NBA summer league (and was rubbish).

300-400k would get him here
baba maybe 250-350
Ra 400-500
Martin 200-300

As a local, it’s a steal to get these players. 2 imports, 1 next star, 1 asia, 6 Aussie/kiwi

He's a fringe NBA player and could make much more money playing overseas. Wouldn't be cheap but would be a massive steal if some NBL team manages to lure him over.

Yuta Watanabe? This dude? Zero chance the NBL gets him.

How does that Canadian league rank up against NBL ?
Though still 2 pts a game for 5 min isn't great at all especially for someone who was on a NBA roster at one stage
Also looks like Glen Davis played a season over there might be a good pick up for a NBL team

"Getting Satnam Singh (Ex Mavs summer league - one in a billion guy - Netflix) would be huge, no pun intended. He'd be average but a good 3rd big guy."
You are kidding right? He averaged 2 points and 1 rebound off a whopping 5 min per game in the Canadian league. He also popped for a banned substance late last year.

They should be looking into, this more if it’s not apart of salary cap and considered a local player.
If u are Melbourne or sydney you’d be stupid not too.
Asian basketball is growing fast and there are some very good players around and will be a lot more in the future.

This website gives you relatively up to date national team rosters for Asia - https://www.asia-basket.com/

So is Ater Majok (who now plays for Lebanon) counted as a local while playing for NZ?

Ra would be an MVP candidate in the NBL make no mistake about it.

This guy sucks..

Cmon.
These guys would beat most nbl backups and some of the starters in there position

Heijima was a not a top level talent like Baba or Watanabe.

None are nbl level talents but have played several times in the nba and have put up big numbers in g league.
Ratliffe one of the best performers at the WC is not good enough... lol.

Firstly, the purpose of the rule is to encourage players from designated markets. So I highly doubt the NBL would allow it for naturalised hasbeens.
A couple of seasons back Brissy signed that Japanese guy, who was a star on their national team, and he could barely make it onto the court.

287 Clearly has no idea.

Ratliffe would be counted as local though according to nbl rules.

Baba is better than most Aussie kiwi sgs, so too Watanabe at sf
Ratcliffe would win in rebounding count.

i think these guys should be outside the salary cap so even though they arent gonna set the league on fire, at least the rich teams might get them and draw more attention to the NBL.

Baba is 6’6 sg Japan
Watanabe 6’9 sf Japan
Ratliffe 6’8 pf Korea
Martin 6’0 pg phillipines

"They're not very good"... lol, Watanabe averaged 17ppg in the GLeague last season. Martin 1st team all pac 12.
Mught need to do some research before you post.

Best rebounder in Asia

Nba games played but not good?
