I could also make up a twitter account using a username and still be an anonymous flog

Oh yeah cause making up a username makes me less of a coward. Flog

^^^ you know you don’t actually have to write anonymous, leave it blank it does it itself. Noob

Cornholio is such a clever user name.

D2.0 relax and go buy another heritage round jersey with your jobseeker allowance

Trev's reputation in development remains intact.

And before the perf fans jump on he didn’t develop nick kay, even nick Kay acknowledges that was Matt Neilsen
Wow
So you acknowledge it was Nielsen's job to work with the forwards, but blame Trev for what you see as Vague's lack of improvement?
Vague has improved. If you look at his off-seaon work he went from SBL to SEABL to NZBL. That's why this will be a good move for him.
And who knows, maybe a good season or two in Japan and he could return to the NBL.

Even a topic as neutral and bereft of anything negative as Rhys Vague still ends up in abusive posts.
Come on guys

Never happened D2.0 so you can check your facts with your mummy after I drop her off

He played 3?! never
So when he was on court with Kay & a centre, what role do you think he was playing? Point Guard?
If you're going to make pointless childish posts, at least get your mummy to fact check them first

Remarkable NBL career to date.. championship every 20 games in the league. 4x champ.
Always teased with potential and probably hasn't developed to the expectations of the cats but still incredible to be a 4 time champ.

Norton/Martin/Britt(DP)
Cotton/Buluk
Import/Steindl/Travers(DP)
Motum/Wagstaff/Okwera(NS)
(Reath or Brandt or Plumlee)/Majok

It's hard to say regarding replacement. He was an end of bench guy who played anywhere from 3 to 5.
Had the team stayed otherwise completely static, you could make a case for simply dropping him from the 10 man squad. So in effect no direct replacement.
But with 4 spaces still to fill, its pretty obvious that at least two of those will be big forwards or centres.
Assuming Reath, etc, remain contracted in Europe, I think we're looking at an import PF to replace Kay, so that could be anybody. Then maybe a local centre, but nothing really clear on that.

Paul Henare is the coach, so hopefully this is a great opportunity for Vague.
Writing was definitely on the wall for him in Perth. Whilst showing glimpses, in two seasons on the senior roster, he hadn't cemented a spot. He was likely to be dropped, even before the shift to a 10 player rota.
Not sure how the season will shape in Japan? They may be playing behind closed doors? Although they are generally pretty good following hygiene directives, so they might be ok.
I imagine the coin is decent, compared to an end of bench player in the NBL. Hopefully the league is of a standard that will allow him plenty of minutes, and the opportunity to thrive.
Given the periodic talk about Asian-Market players, it will be interesting to see how he goes, as a measure of the relative strength of the League.
