David Barlow signs with MU
Of course the familiarity with the team was also a factor
But he wouldn't have been in camp in the first place were it not for the valuable aforementioned attributes

Thanks Mr Holmes
Is there any other insightful comments you'd like to add into the mix?

Peatling signs

Vickerman on Overtime (30 June) was a great interview

United's team is shaping up well, but I suspect if they want another title they'll need another starting level Aussie

Newspapers? ...probably

Not sure what lists you ppl are looking at but i'd consider MU to be the best looking side on paper so far

Top* echelon

Nice joke except Barlow played point guard for a (short) while back in 2008.
Good signing. 3 point shooting, defense (including defensive versatility) and unselfish team play are 3 things that are valuable on every team, every day. The same reasons he made the World Cup team. Not sure why anyone would be wondering how he got a gig.
However at this age, he might be better off coming off the bench. United are still one quality Aussie away from being right at the echelon. If the Brandt rumor is true that's exactly where they'll be

He can play both forward spots and has been doing so since 2003.
So he's SPF 15+
Hehehe. Keep 'em comin'.

Not a lot of respect around these parts for the Perfect Gamer.
37pts (incl. 14/14 FG; 8/8 3PT) in 2007-08. Never forget.

Again how he get the contract.
Yeah he shoots 3 shots a game and makes 2, all from either top of key or side.
Can't do anything when he has to dribble the ball, too slow when it comes to defense, fouls too often, can't rebound.
He a bigger version of van hofe just 20yrs older.
If he starts melb are doomed

Still a decent player worthy of any bench.
He was however as much to blame for the Game 1 SF loss to Sydne with awful shot selection in the fourth.

'How does he keep getting a contract?'
Because:
- He shoots the 3 ball well above the league average.
- At 6'8/6'9 he can defend multiple positions.
- He was statistically in Melbourne's best line up last year.
- He plays significant minutes on a playoff team (22 MPG in NBL20)

How does he keep getting a contract?
