Carparking at the Dome

Not sure on the exact numbers the Dome Carpark can hold - but with the sheer volume of cars, it is always going to be a problem, not matter who or how it is managed.

The main problem is IMOA is that a fair majority of spectators show up 10 mins before game time, expect to get a park and buy a ticket before the game starts - and get frustrated if they miss tip off.

End of the day - look at a Crows game - people turn up 6-7 hours before the game to avoid traffic and get a good park.

So the question is how do you educate 2000 fans that turn up last minute to get there earlier? Not an easy feat at all, as not everyone can spare 2 hours to get there early.

But if I was to level any criticism at all, is that the side gates are getting opened later and later every game and are not been manned at all, so the corporate people that go to Apollo could not get in - till one smart cookie relaised the gate was not padlocked, and opened and a lot of people snuck in with out paying for parking.

Solution - if you are a season ticket holder, buy a carpark pass. It works out cheaper over the whole season and you enter the carpark from the office side of the building. You can usually park only metres away from the door. It takes me 60 seconds from the time I enter the gate until the time I'm in my seat.

Better to have someone trying to control the situation than an "all in." Anonymous, I reckon you should get out there and show then how its done then.

Whether people are volunteers or not, that type of behaviour is inexcusable. What is it with people who think they can talk to/abuse other people like that.

Players signed because of Weaver and his US connections, DJ clearly said so in an interview, Glover also went there because of Weaver, there are others also. Kings could be asked a few questions by players managers.
