You should not judge other people by your standard.
I believe playing other sport (as well as basketball) is very good for young players development.
Different sports have different emphasis & skills.
By the sounds of Vadersmate it looks like he has a lot of experience in when things get difficult, he runs.

I have been amazed by the response.
There are a lot of negative responses that do not help much.
Kids play sport to be with their friends, so why should they move to another club?
I do think that it is wrong that Sturt go and recruit players from other clubs.
I have no Basketball background, and Sturt is the closest basketball club, but in defense of Sturt, they are very professional, very organised and have many very dedicated members who do an enormous amount of work.
I am very impressed with the way the club is run, and how hard the boys train. I do understand why they are succesful, and why others from outside the area want to play at Sturt.
There are also other clubs who have succesful training programs, and very dedicated members who do very good work with their boys, and you can see by some of the results.
Basketball in SA needs to grow, and be strong through out, and not only a few clubs.

Solutions simple.....Move to a weaker club and strengthen them and the competetion. Remember, it's a lot worse for the teams you're thrashing. Spreading the talents' a start...zoning, adding more div 1 teams for the stronger clubs etc. etc.are other ways.

does forde and bogut get along
