What is wrong with Steve Leven?
Where is he at the moment??
Any NBL teams looking at him now?

from all the things ive heard he sounds like a bit of an arsehole, ofcourse that doesnt mean he's not a goodball player tho

Steve and Perth parted as both felt it was best.
I agree DB5 go for it.
With Sutton out for 2-3 wks there is no harm in trying.

Okay thanks Isaac, had not heard that one...
Doing a Symonds.. but really so what, I have seen Power and cow players out a night or 2 before a big game...The Andy Symonds incident in the UK last year in the cricket.. SFW?
I understand what you are saying, but if we can give an old man a trial with the team, would it really have hurt to trial Leven??
As I stated before, a bit of heart, a bit of character, some one to do some "dirty" work on the court...May have been beneficial to the team, might have been detrimental...I guess we will never know..

Hadn't heard that one either Isaac..
I guess my point is, look at the teams with guys with attitude problems..a la Dragons and the blonde tool, who are playing much better than us, West Sydney would have a few more wins with Harvey healthy all year, Simon Kerle used to fire his team up, even Cattalini had issues early on in his career...Maybe it was worth the chance as opposed to bringing in Timmons, bring in some one that wears their heart on their sleeve..
What was the reason Perth cut him for?

Ernst is only shooting 27% on threes for the season, so she essentially shot the percentage expected of her vs Sydney (25%). The 'law of averages' is a fallacy that doesn't even apply here.
Perth is a strange team. Their offense is built around shooting open 3s to open up driving lanes (1st in league 3PA), but they shoot them at 26.7% as a team (last in league 3P%). I understand that key outs must have disrupted their game plan and they only really have Ebzery as a shot creator though.
Ebzery's decision making is also very questionable at times. I haven't seen enough of her at WNBL level to know if this is normal, but it looks like she's consciously playing for an Opals spot when she forces shots against set defences, when she's off-balance and/or when teammates are open. These instances are few enough to seriously affect her stats (she shoots quite respectably with 42-FG% and 39-3P%), but hurts her team when these instances occur IMO.
Sydney's Flow offense is just so vanilla - not terrible, just nothing innovative and doesn't really suit the group. Watching Burton stand on the three point line when everyone knows she has no intention of shooting hurts.
